Combine data correction at the aggregator level with direct data feed to Google

Go Local Interactive saw an opportunity to improve the accuracy of the company’s local listings across all sites by providing correct information to data aggregators as well as Google directly. After collecting the current, accurate location information, Go Local Interactive partnered with top data providers: Infogroup, Axciom and Localeze distributing out information monthly to 230+ online and mobile sources. They also implemented a direct feed of location information to Google. The client continued to send updated location information monthly to Go Local Interactive. Listing audits were completed to identify and correct any errors and report on the accuracy of their listings.

The Result:

Listing accuracy increased from 38% to 94%

As a result of the monthly feeds, the direct feeds to Google, the hard work of the local perceptions team and the frequent flow of location information from the client, the health care company experienced a local listing accuracy increase from 38% to 94% across six data fields and four local listings sites. The data fields included name, address, city, phone, and website URL. The local listing sites included Google, Bing, Yahoo Local, and
