A New SEO Approach Boosts Organic Traffic

Campaign Goal:

Increase organic traffic to a variety of websites

Go Local Interactive took on several new clients that were unhappy with their previous agency’s search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. Go Local Interactive was tasked with increasing the respective client’s organic traffic compared to the previous year.

Solution:

Combine data correction at the aggregator level with data correction at the individual online business directory level

First, Go Local Interactive performed a detailed site audit for each client website to identify the areas of SEO opportunity. These site audits revealed areas within the technical makeup and website code as well as SEO best practices that were not sufficiently addressed via the previous agency’s SEO programs. Next, Go Local Interactive focused on off-site optimization opportunities which included implementing active and optimized social profiles, accurate business listings/citations on local listing websites such as Google+ Local, Bing Local, Yelp, and improving overall Inbound link health. Finally, Go Local Interactive placed an emphasis on creating and adding content to the client websites, as search engines and users actively look for consistently fresh and relevant content. Search engines like Google and Bing rank websites in their results pages using these on-site, off-site, and content elements.

The Results:

By improving the on-site and off-site elements for each website and through adding fresh and relevant content, all of the websites experienced 50% or more increase in year-over-year organic traffic
